Area51 Project 6x6 - 2025 Maintenance & Adventures |
|
In March 2025 I took Project 6x6 out for an End of winter rip on the trails in Torbay. I high centered the machine just once and quickly self extracted using my trusty WARN 2500lb winch.
Today's boil-up was absolutely fantastic and I prepped a spot to hang my camping hammock for a future adventure!
In early April my day started off with a problem as the Argo wouldn't start, the solenoid clicked but nothing else. I investigated and found the main engine electrical ground at the voltage regulator was cracked off at the connector. Engine vibration must have caused a split and it eventually broke. A new connector was easily crimped in place and the machine fired right up.
With the machine fixed I headed out for a Spring ride and boil-up leaving from our house in Torbay. I had to move a few blow down trees on the trail, since this clearing was within the boundary of my woodcutting permit I loaded the wood aboard the machine to take home for our backyard fire pit and/or burning in my hot tent woodstove.
Over the summer I was super busy with repairs around the house as well as building out a Vegetable Garden and Greenhouse. Project 6x6 was quite handy becoming a mobile tool box carrying all my gear to and from the garden leaving it safely stored inside the garage.
