Area51 Project Foreman - 2025 Update |
|
|
In early January with still not a flake of snow on the ground, I loaded up Project Foreman for a ride down the Southern Shore to pick up my cellular game cameras put out prior to moose hunting season 2024.
May 24th weekend garage clean up!
Project Foreman didn't see a whole lot of action this summer as I was extremely busy with multiple projects and repairs around the house including fixing up the back deck, building a vegetable garden and a beautiful new greenhouse, all of which took up way more time than I imagined. I did get out for a quick rip in June to cut a few sticks to build a trellis in the garden for our sugar snap peas.
In October we headed back to Slaney's Camp for the first time in a couple years to help him cut some firewood, start a new ATV trail and to have a few laughs.
In November I left our house in Torbay for a long overdue ATV ride and Boil-up, it was an uncomplicated thoroughly enjoyable afternoon in the woods.
In early December I loaded up the bike and headed down the Southern Shore for a little ride and most importantly to pick up my cellular trail cameras which had been out capturing moose photos since July.
In mid December I hit the trails in Torbay once again but this time for my first snow ride of the season. It's great actually having winter weather in December unlike last year when we were well into the new year before we received any snow!
Just before Christmas I was out poking about in the garage doing a regular check over on Project Foreman after the last couple rides. I didn't find any issues but noticed the clamp on my custom engine breather hose was about to cut through the rubber line.
This happens every 4-5 years, if neglected it's a vulnerable low point where water can easily enter the crankcase and cause havoc! The repair was simple, I cut off about 3/4" of hose and reattached.
Cheers, MIKE
