Area 51 Location - Mike: Mount Pearl 2007- Spring 2014: |
|
In 2007 Sandra and I moved into our first home together, a rental bungalow in Mount Pearl which included this 12x16 wood floor shed. The landlord custom made a set of double doors and a ramp for getting an ATV or snowmobile through, and although still part full of his stuff allowed plenty of space for my tools, bike and snowmobile.
Over those years many projects were worked on in this small, unheated, dusty space including Project Renegade, my 1997 Grand Touring 500 turned Renegade.
Then there were many repairs and modifications to Project Foreman, my 1998 Honda Foreman 450s.
In this space I completed a 10 year refresh of the entire bike mechanically in 2008.
Completed a major repair to the rear engine case and rear drive shaft, then installed a custom Natural Gear camo wrap in 2009.
Picked up my first decent tool box in the fall of 2013.
Even Maffer completed some work on his Can Am Outlander at this good ol' shed.
And finally this is where Project Powertek REV was born as I cleaned all the youngfeller" monster decals off of the plastics, rebuild the suspension and the following year installed a fresh motor in the chassis.
Maffer's 2006 Rev spent a winter here as well for a few upgrades.
In the Spring of 2014 we said goodbye to Mount Pearl rental home and moved into our new house in Torbay. The new house has a 12x20" detached garage with nice concrete floor that's finished outside and nothing inside (yet).
This old 12x16' shed served me well working on a bunch of projects the past seven years, I truly look forward to our new location and new adventures!
Cheers, MIKE
