St. John's Rod and Gun Club Activities 2025 (20 Photos)

This year is the first time in 13 years that I am not sitting on the executive board of SJRGC and I have to say it has been a very welcome retirement. The new board under president George Jenner continues to do great work for the club, meanwhile I've enjoyed a lot more time to relax and simply run out to the range every now and then to help out with maintenance.

In March we lost our large highway sign in a windstorm having survived approximately 30 years in our harsh East Coast elements. A club volunteer erected a replacement; albeit much smaller, lower and single sided it gets the job done.

The rifle/pistol ranges are in great shape as the executive continues with their schedule of rehabilitation & maintenance on the facility.

In June Bassan and I headed out to the club to tackle the grass which was really tall. Weather was beautiful and warm ideal growing conditions for our still quite young grass.

In August Bassan and I headed out once again, this time to perform maintenance on the zero turn mower & generator, then cut the grass which despite not receiving much rain continues to grow quite well.

Our supply cabinet is still well stocked with maintenance items.
