With my ankle feeling better today, I decided to take advantage of a beautiful fall afternoon with an ATV ride. I loaded up Project Foreman and headed to Aquaforte to check out some recent work on the ever improved Southern Shore Trailway.

Weather was cool & crisp with very little wind and clear sunny skies.

I headed in the trail riding south taking the path down towards Renews which is currently being worked on and improved. Drainage is being added and soft areas backfilled.

Of course any ride is instantly made better with a boil-up! On the menu today were Bassan family recipe Moose Sausages and a tin of beans cooked on my MSR Superfly mini stove. Quick & simple yet delicious!

After lunch I continued my ride exploring the trail network and the myriad of side trails in the area.

All in all just an awesome day in the woods, exploring new areas, burning some fuel and supporting the amazing work of the Southern Shore Trailway group volunteers.
