This past weekend, Sandra and I once again hit the road headed west to Corner Brook. Sandra and her billiards partner Dennis were to compete in another Jack and Jill Doubles Pool Tournament, they came quite close to winning back in March and hopes were high for a victory this trip!

The weather was absolutely perfect for driving with clear sunny skies all the way across.

Around noon we stopped in Lewisport. I had to drop off my 2022 demo Fierce Carbon Fury rifle to the fine folks at Blue Ridge, a local outfitting company and our local dealer for Fierce Firearms.

We ran into quite a few long weekend, old clunker RV's clogging up traffic on the TCH!

We arrived in Corner Brook a few hours later, this time we stayed with friends in their beautiful home just up the road from Union Bar and Billiards. Huge thanks to Erv for the invitation to stay and hang out with the whole crew all weekend.

Saturday, Sandra and Dennis played their tournament at Union Bar & Billiards. This CPA event saw over 20 teams complete from noon until late into the night for a prize trip to Las Vegas. Sandra and Dennis played very well but were knocked out early that evening. With that contest finished we all took part in a Chip Tournament that evening, this was to be my very first pool event. Sandra and I partnered and played well finishing in the top 5 or 6 teams in this cash tournament. I had a great time and am already looking at purchasing my own Cue.

Sunday mid day we loaded up our Murano and hit the highway East - homeward bound.

All in all it was another fantastic trip. Sandra always supports me in all my outdoor adventures without hesitation or complaint. It was an honour to be a part of her trip and try out this great sport in the Chip Tournament!
