October 4, 2008 Southern Harbor ATV Run: (26 Photos)
This past weekend Sandra and I were back in Southern Harbour to spend the weekend with her family. I had project Foreman in tow and planned to head out for an ATV ride with the Southern Harbour Crew. Heading out to the old railway track, Captain H managed to get his Honda 300 Fourtrax good and stuck in the first 15 minutes of the ride!
We managed to pull the bike free with relative ease and were soon back on our way on the old track headed East towards Little Harbour.
Near Little Harbour we headed up the transmission line to a couple dandy outlooks which give a great vantage point over the surrounding country.
Leaving Little Harbour we decided to head back west towards Avondale stopping near the TCH underpass for a snack.
Near Goobies we stopped by a small brook where we found a small rise that was perfect for popping up the heavy front ends of our Honda 4x4 bikes and proceeded to pull a few wheelies!
Some went better than others, lol!
The rear tube bumper on project Foreman made for an awesome wheelie bar and lost a little paint this ride!
Later in the day we met up with Scotty who tagged along for the rest of the ride as we made our way back to the house.
All in all it was a pretty standard, uncomplicated, but absolutely awesome day on the trails!
Cheers, MIKE
