Blackstone upgrade! We had an opportunity to sell our first 36" Blackstone and replace it with the updated 36" unit which features many improvements over the old one. We thoroughly enjoyed the first unit and were completely happy with it, but the timing and deal was right to upgrade to an even better model.

The side shelves are sturdier and fold down instead of slide in place, they are also higher than the old unit. Other features include a front shelf, magnetic tool holders, paper towel holder and my favourite feature, a hinged lid.

Seasoning the unit was same as the last one, bring up to temp, wipe on Grape Seed Oil, wait 10-15 minutes to stop smoking, and repeat 6-8 times.

With seasoning complete I installed the last piece a hinged cover which was included on this model.

This will provide ample protection between uses in Spring/Summer/Fall but I will also use the full soft cover during storms and the winter months for an extra layer of protection.

First meal on the fresh unit was Chicken Stir Fry.
