My biggest pet peeve fishing in the summer is definitely flies and mosquitoes, so I knew I needed something great. I wasn't a fan of mesh head caps or mesh jackets, Thermocell units are inconsistent especially if its even breezy. I thankfully stumbled across this awesome pullover at Atlantic River Outfitters here in St. John's in 2022. I purchased the LOOP Mygg 2.0 bug jacket and it was one of my best investments of the summer.

This pull over style jacket is made from a material pre-treated with permanent fly repellent (rated for 70 wash cycles) and has a stow able fly screen as part of the hood. You can wear the jacket hood down and look normal, but if the flies get troublesome, particularly at dusk, you can raise the hood, zip the fly screen closed and enjoy the rest of the evening in fly-free comfort.

This Jacket is a game changer if flies bother you up in the woods. Wearing a hat is perfect as it holds the screen material out off your face for perfect comfort.
