This Fiskars long handle splitting axe is brand new this winter so I haven't had a lot of swinging time as of yet. I've tried it out in the backyard and so far it works great. I have some beautiful wooden handle axes including my Hultafors Arvika, but this composite axe is a very functional unit that will take a licking and not become easily damaged if I miss a strike or two.

This axe is simple and just plain works very well. If it holds up as well as my smaller Fiskars that I keep on the bike I'll be very happy.
