After much thought and careful consideration, Mr. French finally decided to trade in his trusty 2002 Honda Foreman 450 ATV for a new 2014 Yamaha Grizzly. It's quite a step forward as bikes have came quite a long way in the past 10 years! The new bike has a much better ride with fully independent suspension on all corers, more power with a 700cc fuel injected engine, less steering effort with electric power steering, and better traction with an electric locking front differential. For 2014 Yamaha made quite a few improvements to their flagship ATV. Highlights include fine tuning the engine for more power and 30% better fuel economy, completely revising suspension on all corners providing more ground clearance and better ride, and a relocating the gas tank & air intake for a lower more stable center of gravity. All in all the new bikes are much more refined then last years model, and certainly miles ahead of Mark's old Honda Foreman!
Mark took delivery of his new bike with all the necessary accessories needed for riding which include Yamaha front & rear bumpers, upgraded wheels & tires, Warn 3500lb winch, Yamaha fender extensions, and Yamaha aluminum skid plates. Since Mark uses the bike to clear snow from his driveway, he also purchased a new Moose 52" plow and mounting kit. So far he is very happy with his new machine. We've had an opportunity to get a couple rides in before the snow came, and he has been successfully clearing his driveway with it all winter.
