February 5, 2011 Goulds Sled/ATV Rip: (5 Photos)
5. Today most of the crew finally got out for the first decent run of the year. Sooley, Maffer, French, Bill and I left from Power's road in the Goulds and checked out the fresh powder on many fields in the area. It was an awesome day with sunny skies and lots of fresh snow to play in. We eventually made our way over to Northern Pond road and picked up the NLSF trail to Witless Bay. We made it about 1/2 way when one of the guys got a call for work, so we called it a day and headed back to the trucks.
4. On the way back we met up with Long and Todd who have track kits installed on their Yamaha Grizzly ATV's. It's a pretty neat set up that seems to work great in the deep snow.

1. The first run of the year is always killer on the body as you get used to the bumps, hauling on the machine working muscles that haven't been used since last winter! But as always it was worth it. Hopefully weather continues to shape up great now that we finally have some decent snow!
Cheers, MIKE
