Mark French and I have been using rod and reel for the Recreational Groundfish Fishery for a long time now, but our old reels were starting to show their age. In 2017 we upgraded from PENN 109's to the new PENN Fathom 60lw.
The Fathom 60 features level wind and a 4.3:1 ratio for very fast and easy line retrieval.
The new reels and Rhino short salt water rods work extremely well, would highly recommend.
Of course the question remains, can it catch fish? Yes they certainly can and they do so well!
