This Fiskars long handle splitting axe is brand new this winter so I haven't had a lot of swinging time as of yet. I've tried it out in the backyard and so far it works great. I have some beautiful wooden handle axes including my Hultafors Arvika, but this composite axe is a great utility unit that will take a licking and not easily damage the handle if I miss a strike or two.

Again as of today I don't have much swing time with this unit but based on experience with my 17" Fiskars I will give this a 5 star rating up until I don't!
