Truck Sold Fall 1999

After rebuilding my Bronco motor 3 times, I had a chance to get clear of it when Dad was selling his 1994 Jimmy to upgrade to a 1997 GMC Yukon. This was an awesome upgrade as it had the 200 horsepower Vortech 4.3 V6, more room, more comfort and warranty!

It was also loaded with every option except leather seats. Power windows, locks & mirrors, remote locks, electric shift transfer case, rear wiper, and full overhead console. 1994 was the last year for the beautiful square body S-10's and by then they finally had the bugs worked out of these trucks.

I quickly de-lettered the company decals, installed my Hella lights & Sony Stereo, and cleaned up the truck. I later replaced the troublesome Sony head unit with a nice JVC unit, and picked up a set of factory steel wheel for my winter tires to save the beautiful factory aluminum rims.

Although the truck had powertrain warranty I continued to hone my mechanical skills on maintenance, brakes etc. This was an awesome truck that I used for a nice few years.

Cheers, MIKE
